I’m thinking I’d like to be able to produce my own hydrogen fuel in my basement. Is this possible?

For a school project I am arguing that we should NOT switch to hydrogen or alternative fuels. What reasons could you give to support this? What would you say to argue this statement?

I just wondered what would happen to your car if you were to use the E-85 ethanol fuel in it instead of regular unleaded gas, if your car is not approved to use it? What will it do to your engine? Has anyone tried this??

It is widely believed that an atmospheric increase in the greenhouse gases CO2 has played a significant role in global warming. Even now, CO2 accounts for less than 1/3 of greenhouse gases. Water vapor, on the other hand, accounts for approximately 70% of all greenhouse gases.

The byproduct of hydrogen fuel cells is water vapor. Let’s pretend that every vehicle in America is powered by hydrogen say 10 years from now. That’s a lot of water vapor! What effect would it have?

I have heard about a water for fuel for diesel engines. It supposedly takes the hydrogen out of the water and burns it. My dad was telling me that it is about two hundred dollars and so new that mechanics probably dont even know about it yet. I was just wondering if anybody had any facts about this… or even heard of it. And if you know about it, then share all you know… PLEASE!

I heard that this canadian invented a device that splits water into hydrogen and oxygen. Companies use this device to store hydrogen in tanks until it can be used for a hydrogen fuel cell car(like they do in iceland). My question is can you store the Oxygen instead to go on the ultimate scuba adventure? My dads a scientist, but we’re not talking right now so I thought I would ask here.

Republican’s argument for cutting taxes is that it is “proven effective”. O.K. Jimmy Carter proved during his administration that government spending in alternative fuel research via investment initiatives and government grants drops oil prices substantially, as the cartels move to destroy the profit-making potential of energy alternatives. How can one explain this administration’s lack of initiative in this area when 1. Our national security is at risk and 2. It has been proven effective at lowering oil prices.
